POSITION: Line Service Technician

TYPE: Hourly Full Time

REPORTS TO: Line Service Supervisor

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for all daily Line Service Department activities at Crownair.

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • All full time Technicians are required to take and pass the NATA Training Course
  • Contact with and servicing of fuel and hangar customers (ensure safe, efficient and courteous servicing of customers, including prompt answering of the phones)
  • Help ensure the success of the Hertz and Enterprise Car Rental programs (Auto Delivery, Paperwork, Scheduling, etc)
  • Support the Crownair Maintenance staff with moves and other service, as requested
  • Help ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the Line Service Office (Lounges, bathrooms, office, grounds) and all related equipment. Note that the grounds are primarily serviced by professional gardeners. Note that the taxi areas are “swept” once/month by a service.
  • Help ensure the daily prompt, accurate and complete invoicing/payment of all fuel sales. This requires specific training
  • Be professional in appearance (dressed in accordance with our dress code)
  • Be professional in conduct (work, phone, radio), we are all in the public eye and are a reflection of Crownair Aviation
  • Take responsibility to be productive. Be proactive in seeking out work to help ensure the success of the department. We have supplied a daily checklist to provide direction in this area
  • Help ensure the comfort of the customer
  • Keep an open line of communication with your supervisor on the status of the department. Present problems and suggested solutions for approval
  • Other work as necessary to meet/exceed the above responsibilities

PRINCIPLE INTERACTIONS: Interact with all levels of staff, with customers, with Airport Operations and other contacts to ensure responsibilities are accomplished.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATON: Significant knowledge of Aircraft, Fueling and Equipment maintenance. Full Time Employees must pass the NATA Training Course.

SCOPE OF AUTHORITY: Position requires significant self-motivation and takes direction from the Crew Chief.

WORK HOURS: Work hours are flexible, as scheduled.

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES: A customer service positive attitude is required in all Line Service positions.


POSITION: Aircraft Maintenance Technician

TYPE: Hourly Full Time

REPORTS TO: Service Manager

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Troubleshoot aircraft systems and equipment
  • Inspect and repair aircraft systems and equipment in accordance with approved Data
  • Identify and document discrepancies
  • Identify correct replacement components (parts) and follow applicable procedures for ordering replacements
  • Replace components, including proper adjustment and rigging as applicable
  • Follow applicable procedures for returning parts
  • Functionally test aircraft systems and components
  • Accurately and correctly complete applicable documentation
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the requirements of FARs, ADs, Advisory Circulars, Manufactures Service Letters / Bulletins and engineering orders
  • Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.
  • Read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, modifications, inspections, and repairs to fixed wing aircraft, using specialized equipment, in accordance with appropriate federal aviation regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations, technical manuals, and industry standards.
  • Attend training to maintain licensing requirements.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION: Possession of a valid Federal Aviation Administration Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant Ratings. Knowledge of fixed wing aircraft maintenance, repair, and inspection techniques; tools and equipment used for the maintenance and repair of fixed wing aircraft; maintenance documentation practices; and tools and shop safety practices.



POSITION: Avionics Technician


Position Summary; Avionics Technicians are responsible to the Avionics Lead Technician and shall assure that the procedure outlined in this manual as well as all FAA Regulations and manufacturer's instructions are complied with. In addition to all responsibilities listed under Technician, work involves the responsibility of performing routine maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, modification of aircraft systems, and installations on corporate jet aircraft. In addition, component removal and reinstallation, operational checks, and leak: checks are all within the responsibility of the avionics technician. The avionics technician is responsible for using sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all repairs are accomplished by approved methods and techniques and in accordance with the specifications set forth by the manufacturer in the service manuals, the Federal Aviation Regulations, service bulletins, and   all airworthiness directives and other data approved by the FAA administrator.
  • Responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of their shop or area, so as to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.

 

  • Ensure that all work accomplished will be completed in strict accordance with the
    manufacturer's maintenance and repair instructions and TITLE 14 CFR part 43.
  • Exercise all reasonable care to protect all parts-sub assembles; major assembles and completed units against loss or damage.

 

  • Ensure that all applicable repair station forms utilized are properly completed.

  • Ensure good housekeeping rules are observed and that all shop-working areas are kept clean and orderly at all times.

 

  • Ensure that proper tools and equipment are available and those tools are maintained in serviceable condition and ensure that any tool which is found unserviceable for any reason will be removed from service. He will be responsible for good housekeeping and will ensure that housing and facilities and safety precautions are adequate. Ensure proper handling of parts and the preservation of all units or parts during the work process through the maintenance department.
  • Required to be thoroughly familiar with the requirements of the repair station manual, FAA Regulations, Airworthiness Directives and Advisory Circulars) Manufactures Service Letters Bulletins and engineering orders.

 

  • Communicates with the avionics lead technician concerning progress of the assigned work.

 

  • Perform airframe electrical, avionics repairs, inspections, installations and modifications.

 

  • Removal and disassembly of defective parts, assembly and installation of replacement parts and testing of system.
  • Interpret technical manuals, drawings and blueprints.

 

  • Ensure that all discrepancies are signed off with all the information completed, such as part numbers, maintenance manual, ATA and Chapter, etc ...
  • Displays and promotes a positive attitude toward work and other employees.

 

  • Use experience and technical expertise to assist when necessary to meet completion and production schedules and produce the quality our company has come to expect.
  • Assure that all safety precautions are taken and that available protection devices are properly used at all times when applicable to the tasks performed, in order to reduce the risk of possible injury and health problems resulting from performing assigned tasks.

 

  • Identify any employee's problems and concerns and deal with them, if unable to solve the problems, forward them to management.

 

  • Technicians shall have all their work inspected (except for off-site maintenance, see off­site maintenance requirements) by an appropriately rated inspector as listed on the "Roster of Management Supervisory and Inspection Personnel at the completion of each task.

 

  • Participates with management to strategize and implement new maintenance tactics. 2 L Provide leadership and communication to subordinates and employees.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

 

Education:

  • Two or more year's related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (optional)
  • Federal Communication Commission (FCC) License

 

Experience:

  • Two or more years demonstrated experience in aircraft maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Strong understanding in 135 and 145 repair station operations / regulations required.


Qualifications/Special Skills and Certifications:
